Air handling systems exploit high pressure or vacuum using air as an auxiliary medium in industrial processes or in creating comfortable indoor environments. They help dry, clean and distribute air in industrial processes and in totally or partially enclosed spaces.

Air processing applications have a significant impact on global energy consumption and CO2 emissions. Compressors, vacuum pumps and blowers operate at both variable and constant speed for continuous periods. Installing energy-efficient motors in these applications means helping to build a more sustainable world.

BLOWERS

 

Air technology applications covering compressed air and vacuum take a significant share of the electrical consumption. Air compressors, vacuum pumps and blowers typically are running for a significant amount of hours per day. Since these applications are subject to variable demands make these applications suitable for high efficiency speed controlled motors controlled with drives.

 

Air blower generally uses centrifugal force to propel air forward. This type of load coupled with speed control and long running hours is a prime target for efficiency improvement and energy consumption.
